Campbells has a strong, experienced and well-respected litigation department that deals with a variety of complex personal, business and financial litigation. The firm's clients range from overseas governments and regulatory authorities, multinational corporations, banks and financial institutions, insurance, reinsurance company and professional firms to trustees, court appointed receivers, local businesses and individuals.

Members of the litigation department have appeared as trial advocates in reported cases before the Grand Court, Court of Appeal and Privy Council in London. Attorneys within the litigation department have also acted as expert witnesses in international cases, giving evidence on Cayman Islands law and financial fraud and money laundering issues as well as writing and speaking locally and internationally.

Although the primary practice areas of the litigation department are civil and commercial, the firm also a strong regulatory practice especially in relation to investigations and enforcement.
