Staff changes
We are pleased to announce that Jane Wareham has joined the firm as an associate in the commercial department. Jane was born in the United Kingdom and educated in Hong Kong, Dubai and South Africa.
Jane trained with City firm Hill Dickinson Davis and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 1995.
Jane subsequently worked for Arthur Andersen's legal affiliate Garrett & Co. in London within the Private Client Department specialising in tax planning for high net worth families and probate before moving to the Caribbean as in house Counsel to a prominent Curacao based banking organization.
Jane has worked for the previous six years within the banking industry both in London and the Cayman Islands and is knowledgeable in cross-border legal issues for asset protection and estate planning. She has spoken and written articles on related subjects for the International Bar Association and Trusts and Estates Practitioners and is a member of the International Tax Practitioners Association.
In April 2005, Jane was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands and works in the Corporate and Commercial Department focusing on shipping, insurance, mutual funds and trust matters.

Partner John Wolf will be attending the GAIM Europe conference on June 6-10, 2005 in Switzerland.
Associate Brendan Carr will be attending the Step Caribbean Conference May 9 – 11 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Miami, Florida.

Speaking engagements
Partner Alistair Walters is co-chairing a workshop on compliance programs for hedge funds and investment advisors at the American Conference Institute hosted conference on Anti-Money Laundering in Financial Services being held on 24 and 25 May 2005 in Washington D.C.
Associate Robert Searle will be leading the Offshore Update discussion group at the IBA's 16th Annual Globalisation of Mutual Funds Conference being held on 1-4 May 2005 in Bermuda.
